Then there is the mighty, impressive and timeless White Cliffs of Dover, once this famous landmark was spotted, English heartbeat raced a little bit faster. This massive natural sandstone formation, rising over 900ft above the sea, was made famous by the wartime darling Dame Vera Lynn, when she sang the song “The White Cliffs of Dover”.
